Answer: To treat algae, add 1 ml per 10 gallons of water and repeat every 3 days until algae is controlled. Siphon or scrape any dead algae from aquarium. -

Answer: No, API ALGAEFIX Algae Control is not for use with freshwater crustaceans including shrimp, crabs and lobsters. -

Answer: It is toxic if not diluted; use as directed and mix in water in a container before adding to pond then is safe for anything! -

Can this be used in birdbaths to help with algae?
Answer: I wouldn't use it for that. A good scrub once a week would be your best bet. -

What will work in a water feature with two pumps, flow and two waterfalls?
Answer: The best thing I have used is algaefix. Follow the directions on the bottle. -

Will algaefix harm the silicone decorations in my tank? do i have to remove these decorations in order to use this product correctly?

Answer: Not sure on the bio filters, but it killed half our fish. -

I have 6 gallon aqueon Ascent frameless tank. How many drops do you put in tank to control algae problem?
Answer: Don't do it. It killed every fish in my tank, I had to change out EVERYTHING and start from scratch. New substrate, airstone, any decoration, all plants, I mean EVERYTHING. -

Will this work on brown algae?
Answer: API Algaefix is the top selling algaecide in the aquarium industry. API Algaefix Marine will treat brown algae as well as string algae and many others types of algae as well. -

Is this safe for birds?
Answer: I use this product 1x/week in summer. Safe to koi, goldfish, pond turtles, the lizards and a crow.. have all survived a dip in treated water.
