Central Manual Knockout Punch Kit
The Central Manual Knockout Punch Kit is a set of dies, punches, and drive bolts that come in a plastic case. The punch and die in this set can be used for materials commonly used in radio chassis Construction; however, the listed hole sizes are for electrical trade conduit. This punch kit is not usually useful for electronic work and electronic chassis punches tend to be used in the workshop for piercing aluminum accurately. They are not designed for use in the field for piercing mild steel less than 1/16" thick. One customer had used the 0.75" punch for making thru-holes in a computer case and mentioned some difficulty with the metal gauge. The punches work for different types of metal, but one customer reported dulled scolloped points on the 1" punch after using it to punch a hole in a stainless steel sink. Another reported issues with metal rise outside of the hole diameter that needed cleaning off to get a tube socket to lay flat. However, a different customer had used it to punch a few holes in an electrical cabinet and found the punch to be perfect for their needs.
