Batman: Damned Hardcover is a visually impressive book with eye-catching artwork. However, the story is a mixed bag. Some readers may find it an amazing and different story, while others may find it an unpleasant Elseworlds story with a confusing narrative. The book features a revamp of Batman's origin and includes cameos from DC's major supernatural characters. The voiceover narration throughout the book is annoying and doesn't add much to the story. There is also confusion over the appearance of Enchantress and her role in the book.
