What sets Sizzix Thinlits Dies apart is their ability to create much more intricate designs with clean and precise cuts than your average die. Designed specifically for papercraft, these wafer-thin chemically-etched die sets allow you to add the most delicate components to your birthday cards, invitations, and more! But what exactly is die cutting? It's a quick and easy way of producing individual or mass shapes from various materials such as paper, foil, cardstock, or even foam, crepe paper, or stencil film.
And it's all done using a die cutting machine and a die, like the ones included in this Sizzix Thinlits Die Set. To use this die set, simply grab your Sizzix Big Shot Machine and Cutting Pads. Place your chosen material on top of one cutting pad, then position the Thinlits die with the cutting lines down on top of the material. Complete your sandwich by placing the second cutting pad on top, and then it's ready to go! With just one roll through your die cutting machine, your stunning design will be revealed. Please note that an Adapter Platform is required when using Thinlits dies with any Sizzix Big Shot machine.
Simply place the adapter under your sandwich, and you're good to go! If you've already purchased one of our Big Shot machines, the adapter is included. But wait, there's more! These Thinlits dies can also emboss your paper. Just use the Sizzix emboss and transfer set (662111) to make your wafer-thin die even more versatile! While we always advise using Sizzix dies with Sizzix machines for the best results, you may be wondering if Sizzix dies are compatible with non-Sizzix machines.
