About This Item

Introducing the Deluxe 8-Direction Mill with 14" Base Inch Take your miniature machining abilities to the next level with the versatile Deluxe 8-Direction Mill. This Sherline mill offers unparalleled versatility, allowing you to position the headstock spindle in five additional directions for drilling or milling from any angle. With its wide range of movement, you can tackle even the most complex projects with ease. The headstock can pivot up to 90 degrees in either direction, and the column bed can be rotated up to 90 degrees in each direction for angled drilling.

Thanks to a special knuckle, the column can also be pivoted front to rear. Plus, the ram design of the column base allows for 90-degree side-to-side pivoting. With over 5.5" of travel and the ability to move the ram in and out, you have limitless machining possibilities within the machine's size capabilities. Not only does this mill offer unparalleled versatility, but it also comes with a 14" long base, giving you an additional 2" of Y-axis travel compared to the Model 5400 mill.

This means you can work on larger projects with ease. The standard equipment for the Deluxe 8-Direction Mill includes a powerful 90 VDC motor with an electronic speed controller, adjustable zero handwheels on the X, Y, and Z axes, a 2.75" x 13.0" table with two T-slots, a 1/4" Jacobs drill chuck with a key, a #1 Morse arbor with a drawbolt, and many more essential accessories. We've also added some exciting new features to this mill, including oil reservoirs on the X/Y axes and the Z axis to keep critical parts lubricated. Additionally, a brass leadscrew cover keeps chips off the rear of the Y-axis leadscrew, ensuring smooth operation and longevity.
