The Tecmate Optimate Cable O-30 is a sturdy and reliable power entry solution that allows for easy connection to various devices. This product has an excellent weather protection cap that provides durability and protection compared to other similar products on the market. The installation is straightforward, simply drill a hole to the diameter of the threads, paint the edges of the hole, and bolt this on. Customers have used this product for a variety of purposes, including mounting it on their trolling motor battery box, to plug in a battery tender, and adding a battery trickle charger plug to their winch bumper. It is a fantastic modification for any vehicle that either sits for a long time or has unique batteries that need maintenance. One customer even added it to the grill of their car, where it is not noticeable, allowing convenient charging, with a fuse between it and the battery. However, some customers have had issues with this product's plastic threads not holding the connector into the box when pressure was applied to pull the plug out of the socket. Others have found it bulky on the surface, although it works well.
