The DVD release of this film left much to be desired, with a poor picture quality that made it no better than watching a VHS tape. However, the Blue-ray release is a whole different story. The film has been redigitized from a master with a good encoder, resulting in a great picture quality that truly captures the experience of watching it in a theater. Even on a large 60" plasma TV, the visuals are impressive. This film is hailed as one of the best action/adventure movies of all time. With Lee Marvin in the lead role, it's clear why he was the perfect fit for this part. The movie takes audiences on a rough ride filled with excitement and thrills that keep them engaged throughout. Overall, while the DVD version may disappoint, the Blue-ray release of this film is a must-have for fans. With its superior picture quality, it allows viewers to fully appreciate the cinematic experience and enjoy the film as if they were watching it in a theater.
