Elizabeth Wardle is a writing expert and is currently directing the Howe Center for Writing Excellence at Miami University.
She co-edited the award-winning book Naming What We Know: Threshold Concepts of Writing Studies with Linda Adler-Kassner.
She has previously worked as the Chair of the Department of Writing and Rhetoric at UCF, and Director of Writing Programs at UCF and University of Dayton.
Doug Downs, an associate professor of rhetoric and composition in the Department of English at Montana State University, has worked extensively with Elizabeth Wardle on writing-about-writing pedagogies.
His research interests lie in research-writing pedagogy both in first-year composition and across the undergraduate curriculum.
Currently, Downs is studying problems of researcher authority in undergraduate research in the humanities.
