The plastic shield is removable, and the rotary tool can be used for cutting Acrylic plastic for picture framing. The cordless design allows for easy manoeuvrability although it should be noted that the charge does not last very long. The major downside to the tool is that its cutting depth is only 5/8 inch (15 mm). Therefore, for more heavy jobs such as cutting thicker pieces of material, a more powerful tool should be used.
