svar: There is a magnet at the bottom of the flap and a corresponding one in the frame which hold the flap in the correct position. There is no locking system. If you do not want your pet to access the door, the security panel can be slid into place. -

svar: The Dog Door cannot be installed into glass, so replacing with a plastic panel and installing into this will be fine. -
